Charges have been laid against a driver who was given Naloxone in a crash that sent six people to hospital Monday afternoon.
Jean-Paul Boutin, 36, of Calgary, is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and one count of driving while impaired by drugs. Police said further charges could be laid.
Boutin remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the vehicle Boutin was driving was stolen as a result of the keys being left inside.
Calgary EMS said paramedics were called to the 600 block of Marlborough Way N.E. just before 4:30 p.m. Monday for a collision between a minivan and a sedan.

Police told Global News the driver of the sedan appeared very impaired by drugs and required emergency treatment at the scene as a result. Police said the driver had to be given Naloxone, which is the drug used to prevent overdose as a result of opioid exposure.
There’s no update on the condition of the other five people who were taken to hospital.\
