WINNIPEG — After investigating reports of a suspicious item Tuesday morning, police are now calling the incident unfounded.

Police were called on scene at Kildonan Crossing Plaza at Regent Avenue and Lagimodiere Boulevard, just after 8 a.m. Tuesday. There were reports of a “pipe that looked like a bomb,” police said.

Around 11:40 a.m., police tweeted out that the scene has been cleared and the suspicious item is unfounded.
