For the second year in a row, Johnny Depp is Hollywood’s most overpaid actor, according to Forbes Magazine’s annual list.
The survey looks at the last three movies an actor starred in prior to June 2016, as long as they appeared on at least 2,000 screens. It also does not include animated movies or a film where an actor played an insignificant role.
The magazine then took the total operating income from each film and divided the total from the Star’s estimated pay for those flicks to come up with the return on investment (ROI).

In Depp’s case, the ROI totaled $2.80 for every $1 he took home from the flops.
Depp’s last starring role, Alice Through the Looking Glass, pulled in just $300 million after being produced on a whopping $170 million budget. Mortdecai and Black Mass also fared poorly at the box office.
While Will Smith’s numbers aren’t quite as drastic as Depp’s, he still came in No. 2 as his ROI for his last three films was $5/$1. Concussion and Focus both failed to earn big paydays.
The star-studded top five also includes Channing Tatum ($6/$1), Will Ferrell ($6.50 /$1) and George Clooney ($6.70/$1).
The list only includes one female, Julia Roberts, who finished ninth on the list with an ROI of $10.80/$1.
The rest of the top 10 includes Adam Sandler ($7.60/$1), Mark Wahlberg, ($9.20/$1), Leonardo DiCaprio, ($9.90/$1), and Bradley Cooper ($12.10 /$1).
