A 38-year-old man who was barricaded inside a residence in Fairview has surrendered to police after more than 17 hours.
Police went to a home on Ashdale Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. on Friday to arrest a man wanted on an outstanding charge.
Police say the man pulled a knife on the officer who approached him.
Dozens of heavily armed officers, including members of the Emergency Response Team surrounded the residence for hours, negotiating with the man.
