SIU investigating after two injured in vehicle rollover in downtown Toronto

Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating after two people were seriously injured during a single-vehicle rollover in downtown Toronto early Friday morning.

First responders were called to the scene around 3 a.m. and located a vehicle on its roof near Portland Street just north of Adelaide Street West.

Initial reports indicate the car struck two other vehicles before flipping over.

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the crash.
