We bid farewell to above freezing temperatures this weekend as a cool down kicks in.
Saskatoon Forecast
Today
Freezing fog blanketed the area through the night with visibility reduced to 200 metres for much of the overnight period.
The fog did clear with visibility back up to normal just in time for the morning as temperatures dropped to -1 with wind chill values making it feel like minus double digits.
We did manage to catch a sunrise where we actually were able to see the sun this morning before some high cloud moved in over the area that still allowed the sun to poke through.
The mercury rose to -1 by noon with similar sky conditions expected to stick around for the rest of the day as temperatures push up a few degrees above freezing with a moderate southerly wind helping enhance our warming today.
Tonight
Partly to predominantly mostly cloudy skies will stick around tonight as temperatures drop back to around -6.
Saturday
-11 is around what it’ll feel like tomorrow morning with wind chill when you head out the door.
We may catch a few rays of sunshine to start the day tomorrow, but the clouds will return in full force during the majority of the day as temperatures push up towards and possibly a degree above freezing.
Sunday
The next system will slide by south of the city on Sunday, bringing with it partly to mostly cloudy skies with cooler air being pulled in behind it.
As such, temperatures will likely be a degree or so cooler than Saturday with an expected high around the freezing mark.
Work Week Outlook
An upper trough will settle in over our area cooling us down and keeping us mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries next week.
The result will be daytime highs back below freezing, as low as mid-minus single digits into the final few days of November and the beginning of December.
