The Moose suffered a 3-1 loss to the Wild on Wednesday at MTS Centre. The Wild won part one of the back to back 1-0 in overtime the night before and Manitoba is now without a win in their last three straight games.

“I think the guys gave what they had. It’s a tired group that’s for sure.” said Moose head coach Pascal Vincent. “I felt we looked like we were fatigued a little bit. And we could see it as the game went on. We spent a lot of energy yesterday. I think we got to shoot the puck more, that’s for sure.”

The Wild scored two goals in the game’s first five minutes and never looked back. Teemu Pulkkinen scored only 48 seconds into the game and just a few minutes later the puck deflected in off the skate of Nick Saracino. Grayson Downing scored the Wild’s other goal into the empty net.

Jimmy Lodge scored the only goal for the Moose.

“Those two goals Iowa got right off the start there kinda slowed down the momentum and gave them some.” said Lodge. “So that might have been the difference point I think.”

Dan DeSalvo and Julian Melchiori each had an assist. Eric Comrie made a fourth straight start in goal for the Moose and finished with 31 saves.
