Tim Allen says he’s “not a spokesman for Hollywood,” but finds it hypocritical that many Democrats and progressives are calling U.S. President-elect Donald Trump a bully.

On Fox News’ The Kelly File, Allen didn’t mince words about his thoughts on Hollywood’s reaction to the Trump election.

“I’m not a spokesman for Hollywood, I’m a comedian,” said Allen to host Megyn Kelly on Monday. “So I get to tour around the country and do comedy and I do a show that has a point of view.”

“What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully,” he continued. “But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that. And it gets a little bit hypocritical to me.”

“I’m really an anarchist,” he said. “As a comedian, I don’t want anyone to tell me what to do. Period.”

Allen admits that his ABC sitcom character on Last Man Standing is conservative, but the show is “written by liberals.”

Kelly chimes in, saying that if anybody in Hollywood “finds out you support Trump at all, it’s like you smell bad.”

To make it clear, Allen insists that he doesn’t support Trump personally.

“You get bullied into a position, but I don’t want to defend the guy,” Allen clarified. “To me, he acts like a new talent comedian. These are guys that have great material that have very bad comedy timing. And he’s got terrible timing.”

Allen said in January that he leans a little to the left and to the right, but always ends up “centre right.”

Not very many Hollywood celebrities are “out” Trump supporters; among them are Celebrity Apprentice alum Omarosa Manigault, Oscar-winning actors Jon Voight and Clint Eastwood, and reality-show star Tila Tequila.
