A resident in the area said the roadway on the eastbound lane of 14th Avenue approaching Markham Road has always been a concern in the neighbourhood due to the sharp left turn.

“I’ve seen three people make that mistake. They tend to want to go straight when you should veer left slightly. If you’re not paying attention or not familiar with the street you would tend to run off the road,” resident Garnet Knott told Global News.

“If it’s really foggy, you cannot see the road. You have to slowly and cautiously approach it.”
