“It has quickly become, in one year, a symbol for the team,” Anthony Lizzi, co-founder Montreal Impact supporters group, said.

The bell has a designated ringer each game and past ringers have included Georges St-Pierre and Alexandre Bilodeau.

This time world champion boxer Jean Pascal will do the honours.

“Our goal is to let many people know what a beautiful sport this is,” Lizzi said. “The more we have famous bell ringers the more that helps.”
