Toronto police have arrested a 17-year-old boy after an investigation into three robberies committed by a suspect wearing a Halloween mask.

Police said a pet shop and a sandwich shop in Scarborough were robbed on consecutive Tuesdays in early November. In both instances, a masked youth armed with a black handgun and a knife entered the shop and demanded cash.

The victim at the sandwich shop resisted and police said he was pushed through a glass window pane.
The teen was arrested after police said he was recognized by a victim while walking by the pet shop earlier this week. Police allegedly found a mask and a knife during their search of the suspect.

The youth is facing 10 charges including robbery, robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, assault and possession of a weapon.
Police have not disclosed what type of mask the youth was wearing.
