TORONTO – Amy Poehler’s Parks and Recreation character is about to get her mind blown with a cameo from a man she idolizes: U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.
Biden will play himself in a guest appearance that will air Nov. 15. His scenes were originally filmed in July.
The show’s executive producer, Michael Schur, told the New York Times the vice president was “amazing.”

“He improvised a couple of things that we ended up using,” said Schur.
The Times reports Biden’s staff member emailed a statement on his behalf, writing, “My whole family loves Parks and Recreation and I had a great time filming that scene.”
