Today

We dipped to the freezing mark under clear skies overnight.

It’ll be a cooler end to the work week behind a cold front that slid through last night, but the sunshine will dominate the day!

After rising up to 7 by noon, we’ll continue to see the mercury climb in the sunshine to a daytime high either just shy of or just into double digits this afternoon.

Tonight

Clear skies will stick around tonight as temperatures fall back toward the freezing mark.

Remembrance Day Friday

It may be a Remembrance Day for the record books in Saskatoon!

A glorious day is in the forecast for tomorrow with mostly sunny skies expected through the day and just a few clouds around.

After climbing into high single digits around 11 a.m. for any outdoor services, temperatures will continue to rise to around 14 through the afternoon, but it will be a bit breezy.

Winds will be breezy, but the sun will be out for any outdoor Remembrance Day services in Saskatoon. SkyTracker Weather

One of the main driving forces for the heat is a moderate southerly wind up to sustained speeds of 30 km/h with gusts in excess of 50 to 60 km/h expected through the day.

If the mercury rises above 14.1 in the city, which is the previous high temperature record in Saskatoon from 1981, it will be the warmest Nov. 11 every recorded in Saskatoon.

Saskatoon’s 4th high temperature record of the past 6 days could be at stake on Friday. SkyTracker Weather

Weekend

A weak low pressure system looks to swing through on Saturday bringing in partly to mostly cloudy skies during the day with an afternoon high into the low teens before cooler air slumps in behind the system.

There is a slight chance of showers on Sunday with clouds early in the day, but at this point it looks like the clouds will clear out late in the day giving us some afternoon sunshine.

Conditions will be cooler on Sunday though with an expected afternoon high in high single digits.

Work Week Outlook

Next week we’ll mark the end to Saskatoon’s heat streak.

A system sliding by north of the city will bring us into some warmer air on Monday under partly to mostly cloudy skies and a daytime high back in low double digits.

Cooler air does look to slide in behind that system for the rest of the work week with partly to mostly cloudy skies and daytime highs returning to single digit territory.
