A Saskatoon-based construction company has been fined for violating Saskatchewan occupational health and safety regulations.
H2 Construction pleaded guilty for failing to ensure workers were using a fall protection system at a work area where a worker could fall three or more metres.

The company also pleaded guilty for failing to ensure workers were wearing approved industrial protective headwear.
The charges were laid after an occupational health and safety officer spotted workers on the roof of a two storey house without proper protective equipment.
H2 Construction was fined a total of $2,800 on Nov. 1 in Saskatoon provincial court.

One other charge against the company was stayed.
Under the regulations, an employer is required to provide a fall protection system where a worker could fall three or more metres.
