2 suspects wanted after woman allegedly sexually assaulted in Richmond Hill

York Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects after a woman was sexually assaulted in Richmond Hill early Saturday.

Police said the female victim was walking in the area near Newkirk Road and Crosby Avenue, east of Yonge Street, between midnight and 1 a.m. when she was approached by the two unknown males.

They then threw her to the ground, went through her belongings, and sexually assaulted her, police said.

Police described the males as being between 16 and 25 years old, 5’8” to 5’10”, and having thin builds. They were last seen wearing dark clothing with hoodies.

Investigators asked anyone who lives in the area to check their home surveillance video systems to see if the suspects were captured on camera.
