2 more Hillary Clinton emails classified as confidential

WASHINGTON – The State Department has classified portions of two more emails sent to Hillary Clinton on her private server.

The emails concerned phone calls the then-secretary of state planned to have with the United Arab Emirates’ crown prince and former Afghan President Hamid Karzai in November 2010.

The emails were written by Clinton’s deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin.

The department on Friday declared portions of each “confidential,” the lowest level of classification. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said neither document was marked classified when it was sent.

Friday’s release is the last before the Nov. 8 presidential election. It includes 74 emails totalling 285 pages that the State Department received from the FBI.
