A man is in custody following the death of another man in Kerrobert, Sask., that police called “suspicious in nature.”
A 53-year-old man was found dead in a home in the community 185 kilometres west of Saskatoon early Wednesday morning.

The identity of the man has not been released and an autopsy has been ordered.
Police have confirmed that although the investigation is in its initial stages, the death is being treated as suspicious.
Kindersley RCMP also secured an area northwest of Luseland, Sask., which they said may be connected to the sudden death.
Mounties said to ensure the safety of both the public and police at the scene, the RCMP emergency response team (ERT) was called to the RM of Heart’s Hill.
ERT and local officers established communication with a man and at around 2 p.m., he was taken into custody.
No charges have been announced at this time.

Police said there is no threat to the public however people can expect to continue to see an increased police presence in both areas.
Along with the ERT, members of the major crimes unit, the RCMP Meadow Lake police dog services and the forensic identification section out of Saskatoon were called in to assist Kindersley RCMP.
