Death at Beltline apartment building not criminal: Calgary police

Calgary police say the death of a man in a Beltline apartment complex is not considered criminal in nature.

Emergency crews were called to the 1100 block of 13 Avenue S.W. at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday by someone who found an unknown man on the patio of their first-floor apartment.

EMS confirmed an adult male was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner was called in to investigate.

Although police originally classified the death as suspicious, at around 10 a.m. they confirmed to Global News it was no longer considered a criminal matter.
