One person is dead and four others are in hospital—including three young boys—after a two-vehicle crash on the Tsuu T’ina Nation Saturday afternoon.
A head-on collision between a pickup truck and an SUV happened at around 3 p.m. on 6 Mile Coulee Road just east of Big Knife Road, EMS said. The SUV rolled as a result of the impact.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, a woman in her late 20s, was taken to Foothills hospital with neck and back injuries. EMS described her as being in serious, potentially life-threatening condition.
The pickup truck remained upright after the crash and the adult male driver was uninjured. The passengers of the truck were three boys, ages six, seven, and eight years old. They were all taken to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in non-life threatening condition.
RCMP are investigating the collision.
