Child pornography charges laid against Saskatchewan man

A 22-year-old man from the Sturgeon Lake First Nation, Sask., is facing child pornography charges.

An investigation by the Saskatchewan internet child exploitation (ICE) unit resulted in George Edward Sanderson being taken into custody.

ICE officials said sexual offences occurred on the Sturgeon Lake and James Smith First Nations.

Sanderson has been charged with making child pornography, distributing child pornography along with two counts of sexual assault and sexual interference.

He is in custody and scheduled to make his next appearance in Prince Albert provincial court on Monday morning.
