“We hope to turn it over to new tenants in the early spring so they can build their stores,” said Corey Quintaine, the marketing manager for Kildonan Place.

Quintaine wouldn’t confirm what stores will be moving into the space but did say Mastermind Toys will be building a location inside Kildonan Place’s parking lot next year.

City hall documents and Shindico’s website lists Marshall’s and HomeSense as some of the new tenants in Target’s former space.

Shindico is building its own retail development just north of the mall.

“We noticed there are a lot of people asking for stores that aren’t in this area of the city and that is something we will be able to bring with these new stores,” said Quintaine, adding the new stores should be open by summer 2017.
