A 19-year-old Bonnyville, Alta., man wanted in connection with a shooting in Iron River last month was arrested Sunday morning.
On Friday, RCMP issued a plea to the public to help them find Arnold Travis Houle, for whom an Alberta-wide arrest warrant was issued in connection with the Sept. 26 shooting in Iron River, which is about 50 kilometres west of Cold Lake.
Mounties said Houle was “actively evading arrest” and was known to spend time in and around Lac La Biche and Edmonton.
He was wanted by police for aggravated assault, extortion with a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence and two counts of failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
Police said he was arrested Sunday in Lac La Biche without incident. Houle is set to appear in court Tuesday for matters stemming from Bonnyville, Boyle and Edmonton.
