The RCMP said an autopsy performed Tuesday has determined a senior found dead in Bonnyville, Alta. over the weekend was the victim of a homicide.
Bonnyville RCMP said they were called to a home in the town northeast of Edmonton Sunday afternoon, where they found a deceased elderly man. The death was deemed suspicious and the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit was called in to lead the investigation.

Mounties had asked for the public’s help to find a pickup truck they believe belonged to the victim, which was missing from the home.
On Tuesday, police said officers found the truck Monday on the Kehewin Cree Nation which is about 20 kilometres south of Bonnyville.
Police are now asking the public to help them piece together what the truck’s movements were between Sunday and Monday.
The pickup truck is described as a light green 1974 Dodge D200. It had a large green and white canopy on the back and was bearing Alberta licence plate number BES-165.
