Calgary adds free Wi-Fi to another 27 recreation facilities

The city of Calgary has added free public Wi-Fi to 27 Calgary Recreation locations around the city, including the Calgary Soccer Centre.

They have been working to add Wi-Fi access at many public locations since 2013.

Most recently the city added Wi-Fi to six downtown CTrain stations.

The city awarded the Wi-Fi contract to Shaw Communications Inc. and since then have added the service to arenas, golf courses, parks and public transit stations.

In order to access the Shaw Go Wi-Fi network select “ShawGuest” from the list of available Wi-Fi settings and follow the instructions to connect. Alternatively Shaw customers can automatically log onto the Wi-Fi service through the Shaw Go Wi-Fi network.
