Regina police have charged four people with drug trafficking after they searched a residence in the Uplands area on Wednesday.
Police executed the search warrant in the 1000 block of 12 Avenue North. when police entered the house an aggressive dog charged at the officers and one of the officers fired a shot at the dog, the dog was not hit and fled to the basement.

Police said officers found a large quantity and variety of drugs, weapons and Canadian currency. Officers also seized a large quantity of stolen property including clothing, electronics and vehicle accessories.
Animal control was also called to the house. Five dogs were taken and secured.
Fifty-year old Aaron Albert Racette and 43-year-old Lori Lyn Panteluk are facing a total of 34 charges between them including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, careless storage of a firearm and property obtained by crime.
Thirty-two year-old Cole Neal Symons is facing a fail to comply with a probation officer charge and 36-year-old Joshua Alexander Hamilton is facing a break and enter charge.
Racette, Panteluk and Hamilton made their first court appearance on Thursday afternoon and Symons will be transferred to the custody of the RCMP to deal with outstanding warrants.
