Vehicle flips after collision in Surrey

One person is recovering from injuries after a crash that flipped their car on a Surrey road overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the corner of 188 Street and Fraser Highway and found the vehicle on its side.

The driver was trapped inside. According to witnesses, a large pickup truck and a smaller SUV were involved in the collision.

Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to remove the vehicle roof and get the driver out. They were taken to Surrey Memorial Hospital but it is believed their injuries are minor.

There is no word yet on the cause of the crash.
