City releases animation of southeast LRT route

The city of Edmonton has just released an animation detailing the new portion of the southeast LRT route.

The video follows the southeast portion of the route from Mill Woods Town Centre to City Centre West, shows the locations of stops and stations and provides an overall look and feel of how new tracks and low-floor trains could integrate with Edmonton neighbourhoods.

The city says the video offers a preliminary idea of how the southeast to west LRT could look based on the Concept Planning phase.

It adds the video does not include details from the current Preliminary Design phase or future developments. It also does not reflect the results of past and ongoing consultation with the public and various community groups throughout the city.

The city says the video will be updated to incorporate valuable information resulting from public consultation when the Preliminary Design phase is completed.
