The highlight of the night in baseball usually consists of a game-winning hit or a game-saving catch but on Friday night it was a WWE-worthy body slam.

During the fourth-inning of the San Francisco Giants-Los Angeles Dodgers tilt at AT&T Park, a couple of fans ran onto the field with paper flowers.

One managed a run into the outfield where he approached Giants outfielder Angel Pagan, who waited with his open arms open before grabbing the field invader and slamming him to the ground in a manner which would make John Cena

proud.

A fan in the outfield captured the incident and tweeted it out.

“I was just trying to protect myself and protect my teammates. The guy was getting closed to my teammates,” Pagan said. “I guess it was very explosive. Us athletes, we’ve got that kind of strength. …It worked.”

Another fan provided Vin Scully’s call of the incident as the legendary announcer who said, “They got one of them in right field, and the other one is nailed down by Pagan in left field. Oh ho, and the crowd loved that. He went up to do something with Angel Pagan, who immediately grabbed him and slammed him to the ground … The crowd really applauding a little law enforcement.”

Scully, who is retiring at the end of the season, discusses the flower power history of the Bay City before saying, “I guess you could say only in San Francisco, maybe.”
