Man who escaped custody in northern Sask. captured by police

A man who escaped during a court appearance in northern Saskatchewan is back in custody.

Michael Montgrand, 26, escaped on Wednesday morning during an appearance in Turnor Lake provincial court.

He was considered dangerous and Buffalo Narrows RCMP were advising people to stay away from him if he was spotted.

Montgrand was arrested without incident on Wednesday evening at a property in Turnor Lake.

Police have not said what charges Montgrand was facing when he escaped custody.

Turnor Lake is approximately 590 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
