WINNIPEG — Winnipeg’s arson unit is investigating after multiple vehicles and garages were torched in the Elmwood area Wednesday morning.

Around 3 a.m., fire crews arrived on scene to 300 block of Talbot Ave., where a pick-up truck was on fire. The flames also spread to the garage and fence nearby. Total damage estimate was around $21,000.

Minutes after that, another blaze broke out just blocks away. Crews found two cars and a recycling bin on fire at the 300 block of William Newton Ave. The total damage was around $15,000.

Then around 3:40 a.m., a couple of vehicles were on fire at the 400 block of Tweed Ave. Crews said the vehicles were “heavily involved” and spread to the garage. Total damage was around $33,000.

There were no injuries.

The arson unit is currently investigating.
