Fatal head-on collision on Highway 10 claims lives of two Yorkton, Sask. men

RCMP in Saskatchewan say two people are dead following a head-on collision, just south of Yorkton.

According to police, on Saturday at around 3:15 p.m., a car travelling southbound collided with a car heading northbound on Highway 10.

A 17-year-old man and a 29-year-old man both died as a result of their injuries. Both are from the Yorkton area. RCMP are not releasing their names at this time.

An 18-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was transported to Regina General by STARS air ambulance.

The highway was closed for approximately five hours pending investigation by the RCMP, the coroner and forensic reconstructionist team.

Police are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
