A pair of Vancouver twins were definitely not at a loss for words after meeting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Jack Poole Plaza on Sunday.

Sisters Jacqueline and Joyce Robbins, actresses who have appeared in several films and TV series, talked to Global News their encounter with Prince William and Kate, often finishing each other’s sentences and talking in unison.

“We’re a team and they’re a team,” the sisters said.

“She shook our hand and she was so sweet,” Jacqueline said.

“Kate was on our side,” Joyce added.

“And William was on the other side,” they said in unison.

“And they were both lovely,” Joyce said.

The sisters were fond of Kate’s Alexander McQueen dress.

“Although the dress might have been $7,000, she is priceless,” Joyce said. “She wore red and white, which is very appropriate.”

“Perfect for Canada,” Jacqueline added.

The Robbins sisters are a staple in Vancouver’s film community and may be familiar to movie buffs. They appeared in the 2006 version of The Wicker Man as well as multiple TV series. One of their early appearances was a cameo in the music video for Tom Cochrane’s 1991 hit “Life Is a Highway.”
