Emergency crews on scene in Delta after reports of possible wire theft

There was a heavy emergency vehicle presence in Delta early this morning.

Firefighters and police arrived at the scene before 4 a.m.

A telephone pole had been damaged with wires cut and missing key pieces, but it appears no copper was taken.

Investigators are assessing the damage on the scene in the neighbourhood of 80th Avenue and 115 Street.

No BC Hydro customers have been affected in the area.
