WINNIPEG — Crews rushed to the scene of a garage fire early Friday morning in Winnipeg’s North End.
It happened around 4 a.m. in the 500 block of Salter Street.

Police said the fire destroyed the garage and left significant damage to a vehicle. The fire forced the closure of Salter Street between Polson Avenue and Inkster Boulevard temporarily.
In total, police say there’s about $50,000 in damages.
No one was injured and police are still investigating the cause.
