Today

After dipping below 0 for the first time in four months yesterday, it felt relatively balmy at this morning’s 5 degrees above freezing.

The moderate south-southwesterly flow kept things mild overnight despite clear skies.

Winds continued from that direction into the morning at sustained speeds between 20 to 30 km/h, gusting into the 30 to 40 km/h range.

That helped boost temperatures up into the mid-teens by mid-morning, climbing up to 19 degrees by noon!

The mercury will keep climbing into the low 20s this afternoon with those winds holding fairly steady as mostly sunny skies continue.

Tonight

Clear skies will stick around tonight with winds easing off and temperatures dipping back into mid-single digits.

Thursday

High pressure keeps things clear tomorrow as well, with an expected daytime high back in the low 20s once again.

The main difference will be the winds, that’ll be a bit breezy, but with a northerly component this time, so we may only top out around 22 degrees … I’m hoping we still could hit 23 though.

Friday

We could see a few more clouds to start the day on Friday with a ripple of mid-atmosphere moisture pushing through before it looks like skies should clear a bit giving us a predominantly sunny afternoon.

That ripple is associated with some warming, that’ll help further push our daytime high into the mid-20s to end the work week!

Upper ridge keeps us in the heat for the rest of the week before a cold front comes through. SkyTracker Weather

Weekend Outlook

We’ll warm up even further into the mid-20s on Saturday as the winds will switch back to a southerly direction for Saturday.

Clouds look like they may build in during the day as a low pressure system moves in, but we still should hit a daytime high around 26 degrees.

The cold front associated with that system looks like it’ll be swinging through on Sunday, kicking up northwesterly winds, some clouds and also bringing a decent chance of rain.

Our daytime high on Sunday will attempt to reach the low 20s, but might only top out in the high teens.
