Shortly before 6:00 a.m. Saturday, Whitecourt Fire and Whitecourt RCMP responded to the house fire on Range Road 115 in Woodlands County. The home was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
While fighting the fire, crews heard explosions from inside the structure consistent with the sound of discharging ammunition. No one was hurt as a result of these explosions.
