Edmonton police search for ‘dangerous’ suspect after shot fired in west end robbery

Edmonton police said officers are looking for a robbery suspect they consider to be “dangerous” after a gun was fired during a robbery at a west Edmonton restaurant Sunday.

Police said at 11:24 a.m., a man walked into Lee Gardens Wok N’ Pub in the area of 84 Avenue and 182 Street and fired a bullet into the ceiling. They said he then made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to police, customers were inside when the robbery occurred but no injuries were reported.

Police deployed the canine unit in an effort to track down the suspect but as of 1 p.m., said they had not located the person.
