Two Toronto men have been charged after police said a marijuana dispensary was robbed with an imitation firearm in the city’s downtown core earlier this week.
Toronto police responded to the dispensary, located in the Queen Street West and Bathurst Street area, at around 7 p.m. Tuesday after a reported robbery.
Police said two men entered the dispensary disguising their identities with masks, gloves and hooded sweatshirts.

One of the men was armed with a silver starter’s pistol that resembled a .38 calibre revolver, according to police, and a large amount of marijuana and cash were also taken in the robbery.
Police said members of the public helped in the investigation. One of the suspects was arrested at the scene, where the stolen property and starter’s pistol were recovered. Investigators located and arrested the other suspect Thursday.

Karl Chin-Chen, 18, and Dylan Harris, 19, both of Toronto, have been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, use of an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence and forcible confinement. Chin-Chen appeared in a Toronto court Wednesday and Harris was scheduled to appear in court Friday.
