WINNIPEG – If you’re looking to change up your workout with a full body trainer system, you’ll want to consider total body resistance exercises, also known as TRX.

Shapes fitness trainer Jodi Bodnarchuk put Shannon Cuciz through a circuit workout for this week’s Get Fit Manitoba segment.

“It’s something you can do that will incorporate your cardiovascular work as well as your resistance training work,” Bodnarchuk said. “You can incorporate every muscle group with just the strap that you’re using.”

Anyone from beginners to athletes who want to take their training up a notch can enjoy the workout that includes squats and push ups with a basic TRX kit.
“Every exercise that you do you have to engage your core muscles,” Bodnarchuk said.

“It’s something you can do anywhere, you don’t need a lot of equipment, you don’t need to have different sizes of weights or different machines.”
