The case of a baby horse that was stolen in Langley last week has taken a strange turn.
Owner Fiona Ross says tests have confirmed what they suspected — that Lola, the baby’s mother, was drugged.
Liesel, the 12-day-old foal, was with her mother in a pasture on August 7 when she was stolen.
Ross had suspected Lola was drugged, so she would not react when Liesel was taken.
Ross says since her baby was stolen, Lola has been very depressed.
The Langley owner has offered a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the foal’s recovery.
She is very concerned about the baby’s health as she would require special care and attention.
Anyone with information on the missing filly is asked to call Langley RCMP.
