Another scam may be going around Saskatoon, this one involving a home inspection service claiming to have been hired by the city to inspect furnaces.

City officials said they have been contacted by many homeowners who say they people have come to their door stating they have been hired by the city to inspect furnaces and ventilation systems.

They then try to encourage the homeowners to replace their furnace.

Officials said the city does not oversee furnace inspections and has no contract with any company.

They also believe the people involved are not operating with a business licence.

Officials said homeowners who are approached should not allow the individuals access to their home and report it to business licencing at 306-975-2760.
