Jurors at the trial of Richard Henry Bain have begun their fourth day of deliberations at the Montreal courthouse.

Bain is charged with first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder.

The charges relate to a shooting outside a nightclub where then-premier designate Pauline Marois was addressing Parti Quebecois (PQ) faithful after her election win on Sept. 4, 2012.

Bain has pleaded not guilty and has argued he should be found not criminally responsible by way of mental illness.
