A 36-year-old man has been charged for possession of drugs after a traffic stop near Winnipeg.
On Aug. 11, Manitoba RCMP pulled over a driver for speeding near Headingley, Man. Officers found a small quantity of marijuana and stacks of cash in excess of $19,000 in the vehicle. The vehicle “is believed to have originated as the result of criminal activity,” RCMP said in a media release Tuesday.
The cash and vehicle were both seized.
Michael Samdass, from Hamilton, Ont., has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation is ongoing.
