Environment Canada issues rainfall warning in Montreal

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the island of Montreal.

The alert warns of heavy rain for Tuesday evening in the following areas: Châteauguay – La Prairie, Laval, Longueuil – Varenees, and Montreal island.

According to the warning, a low pressure system from Texas will pass through southeastern Quebec Tuesday night.

It is expected to continue into Wednesday morning.

Fifty millimeters of rain is expected in some areas, while others can expect 60 millimeters.
