Body recovered on Arrow Lake, foul play ruled out

REVELSTOKE, B.C. – RCMP said boaters stumbled upon a body near Shelter Bay Saturday, Aug. 6, just feet from the water’s edge on Arrow Lake.

Weather and water conditions hampered the recovery of the remains, delaying the removal until Aug. 7, according to a press release by Revelstoke RCMP Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky Tuesday.

The B.C. Coroner Service assisted RCMP Sunday morning in the investigation where the body was found three kilometres north of the Shelter Bay campsite.

Grabinsky said they have ruled out foul play and all indications show the person drowned.

No other information about the body has been released.

The B.C. Coroner Service has taken over the case.
