Cola, a wounded dog from Thailand, is learning to walk again after receiving new prosthetic legs.
The dog was rescued by the Soi Dog Foundation in May after a neighbour attacked him with a sword for chewing a pair of shoes, co-founder John Dalley told Reuters.
The Phuket, Thailand-based NGO posted a video on Facebook of the moment Cola received his new front legs on July 21.

The foundation said Cola is recovering under the care of co-founder Gill Dalley, who had her own legs amputated after she was injured while rescuing a dog in 2004.
According to the foundation’s Facebook page, the man accused of attacking Cola was sentenced to one month in prison for animal cruelty.
“While this is incredibly lenient, it is import to remember that had this barbaric attack taken place two years ago, the perpetrator would have not faced any charges,” they wrote. “Thailand only introduced its first ever Animal Welfare Law in late 2014 and it is still very much a work in progress.”
