Serious accident in Surrey park sends one to hospital

A young man is in the hospital after a serious workplace accident in a Surrey park this morning.

RCMP said they got a call from BC Ambulance at 8:40 a.m. to help a worker who fell off a tractor into the pond at Glenwood Park in Fraser Heights.

The tractor fell on top of the man in the pond and it is currently unknown how long the 20-year-old victim was in the water.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and the RCMP will continue the investigation of the accident along with WorkSafe BC.
