RCMP scouring North Saskatchewan River for missing persons

Members of the RCMP’s Saskatoon historical case unit are searching the North Saskatchewan River for missing people.

Officials believe there are three people who have gone missing in the river since 1981.

The most recent person is Bernice Carnahan.

Last month, her vehicle was located near the river and a canine search followed a track to the river.

That operation was undertaken to search for five individuals.

Police believe those bodies may have floated past the forks towards Nipawin.
