KELOWNA — It’s almost game time for the Okanagan Sun — ready to defend their BC Football Conference title.

A lot of new faces on the field including head coach Ben Macauley who says the team is more than ready heading into the season opener this weekend.

“We feel confident. It’s been a long off season recruiting and training,” said Macauley.

The recruitment includes CFL draft pick, Quinn Horton – picked 68th overall by the Calgary Stampeders

At 6’3 and 289 pounds – he’s a force and one of the best players in the league.

“It was a pipe dream he might come avail for us,” said Macauley.

Horton says he’s ready to give his all in the Canadian Junior Football League.

“I think I can bring leadership,” said Horton.

The Sun kick off the season this Saturday in Chilliwack against the Valley Huskers.
