Employees assaulted following theft at a Saskatoon business

A man is in custody after two loss prevention officers were assaulted following a theft from a Saskatoon business.

The theft happened Thursday at around 9:40 p.m. CT at the business located in the 1200-block of 7th Avenue North.

Police were called to a nearby apartment building where the loss prevention officers had pursued the man.

Officers determined which suite the 31-year-old man was in and a police dog helped capture the man.

He is now facing theft and two common assault charges.
